not many people know this secret (which we hid carefully by stating it clearly on the homepage) but the foam energy artists collective has a studio.
Well it’s not our studio, but we can use it for recording vocals or instruments or even maybe mastering too.

but foam energy is actually a record label anyway, so that makes sense? well, not really.
foam enery is doing the kinds of things a label might but without the exploitation and capitalism. We’re a bunch of artists working together and helping each other out.
no one has signed anything and if we ever make any money we’ll be clear about who gets what by mutual agreement

I had an awesome time at the studio today with nadya and james
- I did a lil bit too much yapping (again)
- I wrote some very bad automatic lyrics, but I think that helped motivate nadya to do a much better job
- nadya via proxy is such an awesome artist, I was in total awe of her engineeering, arranging, writing and singing. She nailed the vocal take immediately with not even a warm up
- I managed to delete some audio, yay
- other foam energy artists will be able to use the facility (keeping this very secret by telling everyone)
- I’m a bit of a fraud - making pronouncements about how to be an artist yet the only thing I’ve done is not given up. Failed artist -> fail-ing artist
- I love collaborating, its expanded my brain and inspired me
- I also feel guilty that I’m gaining caché by working with someone who has awesome energy while I feel too old and tired to really be contributing much
- however, I will keep the ball rolling, more collabs in the pipeline (hopefully!)
- one of the greatest collabs I did was with Obuineke in February, that felt so impactful
- we’ve done so much but we should keep this energy going!
- we’re contributing non-toxic healing energy to dance? music? and the world
- we’re doing our best to bring everyone with us
- I think I did a good job at helping with studio direction
- maybe my role is more a facilitator
- I’m feeling inspired so going to write some music now
- but also tired from traveling in the heat
- new ep still potentially arrving soon, just been so busy
- being paid £50 for the Syntə workshop at Phreaking collective, yay
